Pharmacy District Manager in Brea, CA

If you are an experienced pharmacist interested in working in Southern California, Rx relief® has an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy district manager in Brea. This is a temp-to-hire position.

As district manager, you will be responsible for overseeing pharmacies, customer service, claims processing, dispensing, data entry and shipping. You’ll manage pharmacists, certified pharmacy technicians, and other pharmacy personnel.

The district manager needs to maintain strong working relationships with clients to resolve workflow issues. He or she will also assist with monitoring and achieving revenue and expense goals, as well as developing and implementing best practices throughout the entire pharmacy operation. The person hired for this job will also assist in strategic planning and implementing the plan to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the pharmacy operation.

Other duties include working with the management team and department heads to ensure that operational priorities align with company goals. The district manager will also be responsible for monitoring quality of services and use process improvement techniques to drive quality of service. 

Also, the person hired for this job will manage client-related issues, help develop client relationships, manage HIPAA compliance and reporting, as well as compliance with all state board of pharmacy and federal requirements.

The district manager is responsible for meeting budgetary goals and quality-standard goals. He or she will lead and mentor staff to improve skills and provide counsel on employee promotions, transfers and dismissals.

To qualify for this job, you must meet the following requirements:

• Have a valid, open and active California pharmacy license
• Have a B.S. or PharmD. degree
• Have at least five years of experience working in a retail and management setting

The advertised salary for this temp-to-hire position is $60 to $75 an hour. (Your salary may rise if you are hired on as a regular employee with our client; you also will be eligible to participate in their benefits package at that time.)
