In this position, you’ll be providing clinical pharmacy services that include drug therapy monitoring, patient-specific consultations, drug information, pharmacoepidemiology, healthcare staff inservices, and pharmacoeconomic evaluations within a critical care patient population.

 

You’ll also research, investigate and report on adverse drug reactions in your patients. In addition, you’ll actively participate in the process of our client’s medication safety and therapeutics committee by evaluating requests for new drug usage and old formulary drug relevance. You’ll also review therapeutic classes for relevance and also assist in updating hospital formulary.

 

If selected, you’ll also serve as a resource for nurses, physicians and clinical staff pharmacists.

 

You’ll monitor the writing of orders, dispensing and administration of critical care.

 

To be considered for this position, you must have graduated from an accredited college of pharmacy where you earned a PharmD. The completion of an ASHP-accredited clinical residency or hospital program also is preferred.

 

You should have five years of experience as a clinical pharmacist specialist and have training in drug therapy of diseases. You also should have the knowledge and application of pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology, drug-to-drug interactions, and pharmaceutics to patients or PGY1 and PGY2 training within pediatrics and/or intensive care. Additional training in cost evaluation/cost analysis techniques is preferred.

 

You must show high skills in oral and written communication.

 

You should have an open and clean Ohio pharmacist license (we can help you acquire this), and have the ability to work full time during the day. You also must be able to pass a complete background check and drug screen.
