Rx relief® Frequently Asked Questions
| What
is Rx relief®?Rx relief®, a division of PrideStaff®, is a specialty staffing company that provides temporary
pharmacists and technicians for any situation where temporary pharmacy personnel may be
required. Rx relief® has over twenty years of experience, presently operates in four
western states, is expanding into two more states and is well known for the quality of our
placements and the dependability of our service.
How do you work with your customers? We operate with long-term contracts and large-volume situations, on short-term projects and even day-of-need fill-ins. In some cases, Rx relief® even works from standing orders to provide regularly scheduled staff pharmacists. Is Rx relief® expensive?Yes and no. Our hourly rates are much more than the gross cost of employment reflected in a payroll check. But, our overall rate per employee is typically much less than the whole cost to a company that is hiring and managing temporary staff through an internal HR department. How fast can I get a pharmacist?Usually, its same day service, sometimes within the hour. It is always easier for us and simpler for our customers if the basic paperwork is developed ahead of time and only the order needs to be processed when the need arises. Thats why we urge customers to sign up ahead of time, even if youre not sure if or when well be needed. Its really just common sense to have an available option you can depend on. There is no obligation and it makes it so much easier at the time of need. Do you have pharmacists that are trained in specialized areas? We have pharmacists and technicians with a variety of specialties, including a number of people with incredible experience in long term care, hospital, home infusion, retail, etc. However, the devil is in the detail and thats where we excel at Rx relief®. We know the key for our customers is not to have specialists on a list, but having them available when you need them really matching your needs to our available staff when you want them. So, let us know exactly what and when you need someone, and let Rx relief® go to work for you. What qualities are most important to your existing customers? While everyone seeks competency, dependability and responsiveness, were proud to say that our customers, including the large chains and independent pharmacists with single stores, consider good value one of their very highest priorities. To us, that means that we provide competent, responsible pharmacists very efficiently. Were proud that value, like responsiveness, is one of the things people like most about Rx relief . Do you have good pharmacists? In our experience, this question really addresses two distinct business areas, each involving your liability. First, each pharmacist we hire is thoroughly screened through their employment history and the Board of Pharmacy. They are licensed, in good standing and insured. Secondly, Rx relief® interviews to hire only the most qualified pharmacy staff. To us, that means technically competent for assignments, computer literate, capable of jumping into difficult situations, demonstrating an ability to manage professionally with existing staff, and getting the work done in a friendly manner that helps build our clients organization and ours. What computer systems are your pharmacists familiar with?Computer literacy is a prerequisite for working with Rx relief® and we test for it. In fact, almost all of our pharmacists are trained on multiple versions of the most popular systems, including PDX, Condor, PPC, and others. However, in our experience, individual companies often have slight variations in their programming on these common systems, ands sometimes they want special training set up for their fill-in pharmacists. If thats the case, we can handle that special customized training and testing requirement as well. Are your pharmacists up to date?Yes, they are each currently licensed, in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, and have malpractice insurance. Also, almost all hold other pharmacy positions that require them to keep up on the latest changes in the industry and its trends. Our pharmacists are prepared to step into your work environment and professionally handle the responsibilities. How do you screen your pharmacists?Carefully. Not only do we screen them, but we follow-up after they are on the job for you. First, we check employment history, personal and professional references and their standing with the Board of Pharmacy. We also interview each candidate and rate him or her on a professional competency scale. We make sure they understand and speak English so they can function within your professional pharmaceutical milieu. We determine professional and general fluency in other languages and note that. Finally, when Rx relief® tentatively hires a pharmacist they are tested for drugs before ever working a shift. We also work closely with our customers to make sure that Rx relief® meets or exceeds their companys on-going testing requirements. Additionally, we do a first day 4-hour phone follow-up and additional checking when they are on the job to assure client satisfaction. Can I get the same pharmacist each time?Yes, we try to get the same pharmacist or technician so the ramp-up time is reduced and we use our detailed employee/customer records for exactly this purpose. However, when there is a conflict and the same person is not available, we find that the cause most often cited is planning. So, we stay in touch with our customers to stay on top of changing needs and get the right person tied up as soon as the need is known. Let us know if you would like to participate in our free "Relief Planning Made Easy" service. It entails more follow up by our office, and puts us in more constant contact with your scheduling staff. Can I hire a pharmacist from you?Yes, that can happen in a number of cost-efficient and convenient ways. Sometimes customers just decide they now need a full-time pharmacist. However, when customers know they want a full-time search, they often use us to help them in the screening/trial process. Knowing this ahead of time helps us in the candidate selection process and makes the transition much simpler for everyone. How can I initiate a meeting with someone on your staff?Easily. Thats our goal. Step one is to call 1-800-RXRELIEF (797-3543). In the initial call we will register your company as a customer and gather the details for a particular job, if it exists. We will also ask questions to see if there are special requirements or concerns as we begin our relationship. If you would like pre-interviews with pharmacists before they are sent out, for instance, that can be arranged. One-step service its that simple. Do you have pharmacists in this area?Yes, over 300 pharmacists are on our active registry. From this pool we serve Northern California to the border, the entire Central Valley and all of Southern California, including the San Diego area and desert communities where we were founded twenty years ago. Our customer bases in Arizona, Washington and Oregon are served by locally assigned Regional Directors, each with their own fully registered and state-qualified pharmacy employees that are coordinated through our central Rx relief® service registry. |
