November Top Job: Outpatient Pharm Tech in San Diego

San Diego has good reason to call itself “America’s Finest City.” The weather is great, the beaches are beautiful, the people are friendly, and the traffic isn’t nearly as bad as it is in Los Angeles two hours to the north (which, if you know LA traffic, is a very good thing, indeed).

So if you’re ready to see if San Diego really is the nation’s finest, check out this temporary position for an outpatient pharmacy technician. You’ll need to be flexible as to your working hours (although you’ll generally be working first shift, Monday through Friday, with some weekends possible).

So what makes San Diego so great? Let us just count the ways:

The Pacific Ocean. The ocean water can be cool even in summer, but imagine being able to walk along the beach after a long shift, or eating in a café along the beach front in Mission Bay and watching the parade go by on the sidewalk? Plus, if you like to sail, surf, paddle board or run along the beach, BINGO!

The People. San Diego is full of diversity. From East Coast transplants, to folks from Latin America, the Near and Far East, if you want to care for and live with people from – literally – all over the word, San Diego’s your place.

Yes, housing can be expensive, but the homes and apartments tend to have lots of windows (hello, West Coast sunlight!) and high ceilings. You can live in an 800-square-foot condo and still feel as if you’re living in a palace.

Balboa Park. Bigger than NYC’s Central Park, Balboa Park offers you acres of theater, museums, sports venues, lovely gardens and -- oh, yes! – the San Diego Zoo.

Mission Bay. A big shout out to whomever saw a huge, mucky swamp and said “I know, let’s dredge it, open it to the sea, put in docks and marinas and bike paths and kite parks and – oh yes! – Sea World and the Mission Beach Plunge.” Seriously: Big props due.

San Diego’s Embarcadero area. Visit a maritime museum with ships more than 150 years old. Tour the U.S.S. Midway. Walk along the bayfront in Seaport Village (and have some great seafood while you’re at it). Watch the sailboats and Navy ships on San Diego Bay.

Terrific – and we mean astonishingly so – colleges and universities. The number of exceptionally smart and talented people who went to school in San Diego and who then stayed put have made the city a true mecca for the smart and successful. Things are happening in San Diego. You need to be a part of it.

Speaking of happening: The Gaslamp Quarter is a hub of great nightlife (live jazz and dance clubs), great theater and exceptional world-class dining.
You truly have to make an effort to be bored in San Diego.

If this San Diego pharmacy technician position appeals to you, send your CV/resume to a recruiter at Rx relief®. We look forward to hearing from you.
